Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cakes cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely.
