Delicious and festive cake pops perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 cup of frosting
- 1 bag of candy melts
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and bake the cake according to the package instructions.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Crumb the cake into a large bowl.
- Add frosting to the crumbs and mix until combined.
- Form mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Chill the cake balls in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Melt candy melts according to package instructions.
- Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted candy and insert it into each cake ball.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted candy and let excess drip off.
- Decorate with sprinkles and let set on a styrofoam block.
Notes
- Use different colors of candy melts for variety.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Experiment with different flavors of cake and frosting.
