Ingredients

- 1 cup egg whites (about 8 large eggs)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
- Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form.
- Sift together cake flour and salt.
- Fold flour mixture into egg whites gently.
- Add vanilla and almond extracts, and fold until just combined.
- Pour batter into an ungreased tube pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Invert the cake pan to cool completely.
- Once cooled, remove from pan and serve.
Notes
- Use room temperature egg whites for better volume.
- Do not grease the pan to allow the cake to rise properly.
- Serve with fresh strawberries or whipped cream for a festive touch.
