  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 23 tbsp milk (for frosting)
  • Red and pink sprinkles
  • Valentine-themed ring toppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  4. Divide batter into lined cupcake tins.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cupcakes cool completely.
  7. In a bowl, beat confectioners’ sugar and butter until creamy. Add milk gradually to reach desired consistency.
  8. Frost cooled cupcakes with the frosting.
  9. Decorate with sprinkles and place valentine ring toppers on each cupcake.
