Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fondant
  • Food coloring (red and pink)
  • Edible glitter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
  6. Sift in flour and mix until smooth.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cakes cool completely before decorating.
  10. Roll out fondant and cover the cooled cakes.
  11. Decorate with food coloring and edible glitter.
