- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fondant
- Food coloring (red and pink)
- Edible glitter (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in milk and vanilla extract.
- Sift in flour and mix until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely before decorating.
- Roll out fondant and cover the cooled cakes.
- Decorate with food coloring and edible glitter.
Notes
- Make sure the cakes are completely cool before adding fondant.
- Use a cake leveler for a flat surface.
- Store in a cool place to keep fondant intact.
