Description
A classic trifle dessert layered with cake, custard, fruit, and whipped cream.
Ingredients

- 1 pound of sponge cake, cut into pieces
- 2 cups of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 2 cups of custard
- 2 cups of whipped cream
- 1/2 cup of sherry (optional)
Instructions
- Layer half of the sponge cake pieces in the bottom of a trifle dish.
- Drizzle with sherry if using.
- Add half of the mixed berries on top of the cake.
- Spread half of the custard over the berries.
- Add half of the whipped cream on top of the custard.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- You can use any type of fruit.
- Make it a day ahead for better flavor.
- Keep refrigerated until serving.
