Description

Traditional sweets enjoyed during Chinese New Year celebrations.


Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour – 2 cups
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Red bean paste – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Sesame seeds – 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Mix glutinous rice flour and water until smooth.
  2. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. Pour half the mixture into a greased tray.
  4. Spread red bean paste over the mixture.
  5. Pour the remaining mixture on top.
  6. Steam for 30 minutes.
  7. Let it cool before cutting into pieces.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.

  • Use food coloring for variation.
