Description

Snowball cookies are small, round cookies made with nuts and coated in powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts.
  6. Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  7. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  10. Roll the warm cookies in powdered sugar before serving.
