  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for filling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for filling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour and powdered sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until frothy.
  4. Add cream of tartar and gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites gently.
  6. Pipe small circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Let the macarons sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then cool completely.
  9. For the filling, mix softened butter, powdered sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  10. Pipe the filling onto half of the cooled macarons and top with the other half.
