Description

Delicious snickerdoodle cookie bars baked in a 9×13 pan.


Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, then mix well.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  7. Spread the dough into the prepared pan.
  8. Mix cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle on top of the dough.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Store bars in an airtight container.
  • For extra flavor, add chocolate chips.
