A simple and delicious recipe for snickerdoodle bars.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Spread the batter into a greased baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top of the batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- These bars can be frozen for later use.
