- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
- Slowly add milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni.
- Transfer to a smoker-safe dish.
- Smoke for 30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
