Delicious red velvet cupcakes perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk oil, buttermilk, eggs, food coloring, vanilla, and vinegar.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full with batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
Notes
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container.
- Use cream cheese frosting for added flavor.
- Can be made a day ahead.
