Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine oil, buttermilk, eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
- Mix in baking soda and vinegar.
- Pour the batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely before frosting.
