Delicious red velvet brownies topped with cream cheese frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar together.
  5. Add egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring to the butter mixture.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. While brownies cool, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.
  10. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled brownies.
