- 8 oz elbow macaroni
- 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
- 4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add flour, stirring to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in cream cheese until melted.
- Add cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Combine cooked macaroni and cheese sauce in a large bowl.
- Fold in crumbled bacon.
- Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add more spices as desired.
- Top with breadcrumbs for a crunchy texture.
- Can substitute any type of pasta.
