Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup jam (your choice)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Form dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each ball with your thumb.
  8. Fill the indentation with jam.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until slightly golden.
  10. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
