A quick and easy recipe for making black-eyed peas in a pressure cooker.

- 1 cup black-eyed peas
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
Instructions
- Rinse the black-eyed peas under cold water.
- In the pressure cooker, combine the peas, water, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin.
- Seal the lid and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- Allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Stir and serve hot.
Notes
- Soaking the peas overnight can reduce cooking time.
- Adjust spices according to taste.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
