  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cups sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the pork on all sides over medium heat.
  4. Transfer the pork to a roasting pan.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté the onion until translucent.
  6. Add the sauerkraut, chicken broth, and caraway seeds to the skillet.
  7. Pour the mixture over the pork in the roasting pan.
  8. Cover the pan with foil and bake for 3 hours.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes to brown the top.
  10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
