- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Red food coloring
Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add peppermint extract.
- Divide mixture into two bowls; tint one with red food coloring.
- Let cool slightly, then pull and shape into sticks.
- Allow to harden before serving.
