Description

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk, warm
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Red and pink sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, and vanilla to the flour mixture.
  4. Pour in the yeast mixture. Stir until dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Punch down the dough and shape into heart shapes.
  9. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Decorate with sprinkles before baking for 20-25 minutes.

Notes

  • For extra sweetness, brush with melted butter after baking.
  • Can be served warm or at room temperature.
