Description

A delicious overnight cinnamon apple baked French toast casserole that is easy to prepare and perfect for breakfast.


Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread, cubed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  2. Add the cubed French bread and mix until well combined.
  3. Fold in the chopped apples.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and melted butter.
  6. Drizzle the brown sugar mixture over the casserole.
  7. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) the next day.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
