Description

A hearty overnight breakfast casserole that is easy to prepare and perfect for feeding a crowd.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread, cubed
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the cubed bread.
  2. Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the bread.
  3. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, sausage, and cheese layers.
  6. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  7. The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
