A festive layered dessert for New Year’s Eve.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sponge cake
  • 2 cups mixed berries
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 cup custard
  • 1/2 cup brandy

Instructions

  1. Cut the sponge cake into cubes.
  2. Layer half of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl.
  3. Drizzle half of the brandy over the cake.
  4. Add half of the custard over the cake.
  5. Layer half of the mixed berries on top.
  6. Add half of the whipped cream.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  8. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
