A festive layered dessert for New Year’s Eve.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound sponge cake
- 2 cups mixed berries
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1 cup custard
- 1/2 cup brandy
Instructions
- Cut the sponge cake into cubes.
- Layer half of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl.
- Drizzle half of the brandy over the cake.
- Add half of the custard over the cake.
- Layer half of the mixed berries on top.
- Add half of the whipped cream.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
