A festive bundt cake perfect for New Year’s celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  3. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract.
  6. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  7. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack.
  11. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled cake.
