Description
A classic New England lobster boil featuring fresh seafood and vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 live lobsters
- 1 pound of shrimp
- 2 pounds of mussels
- 4 ears of corn, halved
- 1 pound of potatoes, quartered
- 1/4 cup of Old Bay seasoning
- 1 lemon, halved
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and add salt and Old Bay seasoning.
- Bring the water to a boil.
- Add the potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
- Add the corn and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the lobsters and cook for 10-12 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and mussels, cooking for an additional 3-5 minutes until cooked through.
- Drain the pot and serve the seafood and vegetables on a large platter.
- Squeeze lemon juice over the top before serving.
Notes
- Adjust cooking times based on the size of the lobsters.
- Feel free to add more vegetables like sausage or onions.
- Serve with melted butter for dipping.
