Description
Creamy mashed potatoes that can be prepared in advance.
Ingredients
Scale
- 5 pounds of potatoes
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 cup of sour cream
Instructions
- Peel and chop the potatoes.
- Boil the potatoes until tender.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and sour cream.
- Mash until smooth.
- Transfer to a serving dish and cover.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Reheat before serving.
Notes
- Can be made up to 2 days in advance.
- For creamier potatoes, add more milk.
- Top with additional butter before serving.
