Description

Lobster stock is a flavorful broth made from lobster shells and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lobster shells
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 10 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the lobster shells under cold water.
  2. In a large pot, add the lobster shells, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, and bay leaf.
  3. Pour in the water and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  5. Strain the stock through a fine mesh sieve.
  6. Season with salt to taste.
