Description
Traditional potato pancakes made from grated potatoes.
Ingredients

- 4 medium potatoes, grated
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Grate the potatoes and onion into a large bowl.
- Drain excess moisture from the grated potatoes.
- Add beaten eggs, flour, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
- Mix until well combined.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Spoon the potato mixture into the skillet, flattening each pancake slightly.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels.
Notes
- Serve with applesauce or sour cream.
- Best eaten fresh but can be reheated in the oven.
