Kauffman thumbprint cookies are delightful, chewy cookies filled with jam.
Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup jam (any flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
- Mix in flour, nuts, salt, and vanilla.
- Form dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in each ball with your thumb.
- Fill the indentation with jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Let cool before serving.

- Use your favorite jam for filling.
- Store in an airtight container.
