A simple recipe for cooking black-eyed peas in an Instant Pot.
Ingredients

- 1 cup dried black-eyed peas
- 4 cups water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Rinse the black-eyed peas under cold water.
- Set the Instant Pot to ‘Sauté’ mode and add olive oil.
- Add chopped onion and garlic; sauté until soft.
- Add black-eyed peas, water, salt, and pepper.
- Seal the Instant Pot and set to ‘Manual’ for 15 minutes.
- Once done, allow natural pressure release for 10 minutes.
- Open the lid and serve hot.
Notes
- Soaking peas overnight can reduce cooking time.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
