Delicious thumbprint cookies topped with icing.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup icing sugar for topping
- 2 tablespoons milk for icing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter and sugar in a bowl.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix well.
- Gradually stir in flour and salt until combined.
- Form the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Use your thumb to make an indent in each ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cool, then mix icing sugar and milk to make icing.
- Fill the indents with icing.

- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Feel free to use different flavors of icing.
- Ensure cookies are completely cool before icing.
