Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Drain the canned black eyed peas and rinse them.
- Add black eyed peas to the pan with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Pour in vegetable broth or water.
- Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Serve hot.
