Ingredients

- 2 live lobsters (1.5 to 2 pounds each)
- Water (enough to fill a large pot)
- Salt (1/4 cup per gallon of water)
- Butter (for serving)
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water.
- Add salt to the water and bring it to a rolling boil.
- Carefully add the lobsters to the pot headfirst.
- Cover the pot and start timing.
- Boil for about 8-10 minutes for the first pound, then 3 minutes for each additional pound.
- Remove the lobsters and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop cooking.
- Serve with melted butter.
Notes
- Make sure the lobsters are alive before cooking.
- Use a large enough pot to avoid overcrowding.
- Experiment with seasoning in the water for extra flavor.
