Instructions

  1. In a large pot, place the ham bone and add water.

  4. Add potatoes, green beans, garlic, thyme, and bay leaf.
  5. Simmer for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
  6. Remove the ham bone, shred any remaining meat, and return it to the pot.
  7. Season with salt and pepper before serving.
