Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the black-eyed peas.
  2. In the crock pot, combine black-eyed peas, ham, onion, garlic, chicken broth, black pepper, salt, thyme, and bay leaves.
  3. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until peas are tender.
  5. Remove bay leaves before serving.
