Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine molasses, melted butter, milk, and egg.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with whipped cream.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the microwave before serving.
