Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- Royal icing for decoration
- Candy for window decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, ginger, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
- Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture, mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Roll out the dough and cut out window shapes.
- Place cutouts on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool completely before decorating with royal icing and candy.

- Ensure windows are thick enough to hold decorations.
- Use various candies for a colorful effect.
- Store unused dough in the refrigerator.
