Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, and baking soda.
- In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add molasses, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
- Roll out the dough and cut into roof shapes.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes and let cool.
- Decorate with royal icing and assorted candy.
Notes
- Use different candies for varied designs.
- Make sure the roof pieces are fully cooled before decorating.
- Store leftover gingerbread in an airtight container.
