- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- Royal icing for decoration
- Assorted candies for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add molasses and egg, mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes for your house.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until firm.
- Let cool before assembling with royal icing.
- Decorate with candies as desired.
