Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • Royal icing for decoration
  • Assorted candies for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar together.
  4. Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut out pieces for the house.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until firm.
  8. Let the pieces cool completely.
  9. Assemble the house using royal icing and decorate with candies.
