Instructions

  3. In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into heart shapes.
  7. Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until firm.
  9. Let cool before decorating.
