A simple recipe for cooking frozen black-eyed peas in a crock pot.
Ingredients

- 2 cups frozen black-eyed peas
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 celery stalk, diced
Instructions
- Rinse the frozen black-eyed peas under cold water.
- Place all ingredients in the crock pot.
- Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Remove the bay leaf before serving.

- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Serve with rice or cornbread for a complete meal.
