Description

A delicious dessert made with fresh apricots and a crunchy topping.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh apricots, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sliced apricots with a little sugar if desired.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Stir in melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  5. Spread apricots in a baking dish and top with the oat mixture.
  6. If using, sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
  • Can substitute peaches for apricots.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
