- 2 lbs beef brisket
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 8 hamburger buns
- 1 cup coleslaw (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Season the beef brisket with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Sear the brisket on all sides.
- Remove brisket and add onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened.
- Add beef broth, barbecue sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
- Place the brisket in a roasting pan and pour the sauce mixture over it.
- Cover the pan with foil and bake for 3-4 hours, until tender.
- Remove brisket and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve on buns with coleslaw if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, add chili powder.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- This dish pairs well with potato chips or a garden salad.
