Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the dough into small pieces and roll them into rods.
- Boil water and baking soda in a pot.
- Dip each pretzel rod into the boiling water for 30 seconds.
- Place the rods on a baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Once cooled, drizzle with melted chocolate to create football laces.
