A delicious cake designed to look like a football.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Green and black food coloring
- Buttercream frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two round cake pans.
- In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in milk and vanilla.
- Combine flour and baking powder, then mix into wet ingredients.
- Divide the batter and color one half with green food coloring.
- Pour the green batter into one pan and the plain batter into the other.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool completely.
- Stack the cakes, using buttercream in between.
- Frost the entire cake with buttercream.
- Decorate with black food coloring to create football patterns.
Notes
- This cake can be made a day in advance.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
- Use a football cake mold for a more realistic shape.
