- 2 ribeye steaks, 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped
- 1 teaspoon thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup red wine
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 cups asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Season the steaks with salt, pepper, garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Add red wine, butter, and balsamic vinegar to the skillet.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and cook for 10-12 minutes.
- Meanwhile, steam the asparagus for 5 minutes and toss with lemon juice.
- Remove the steaks from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve the steaks with asparagus on the side.
