Easy snickerdoodle cookies are soft, chewy, and coated in cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients

- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar (for rolling)
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; blend until smooth.
- In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll dough into balls, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place on baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- These cookies freeze well.
