Description

Easy snickerdoodle cookies are soft, chewy, and coated in cinnamon sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; blend until smooth.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together 3 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll dough into balls, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place on baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
