Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • Food coloring (various colors)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla, mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Roll out dough and cut into dinosaur shapes.
  7. Place cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Let cookies cool completely.
  9. In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, egg whites, and lemon juice to make royal icing.
  10. Divide icing into bowls and mix in food coloring.
  11. Decorate cooled cookies with royal icing.
